Returns Policy at Matthews of Cork
If you wish to return an item for any reason please email email@example.com or telephone us on +353 (0)21 4277 633 and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
You have 7 days to return your item
Any unwanted item purchased from our website may be returned within 7 days of the shipping date to receive a full refund of the sale price, provided it is in a salable condition and accompanied by the original packaging and tags. We advise customers returning products purchased online to obtain proof of postage as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.
If the item is faulty we'll pay your postage
In the event of faulty items we will refund the customer's cost of return postage once a postage receipt is provided. We will not refund the value of return postage in the event of unwanted items and in light of this we ask customers to consider carefully before making purchases online. Any items that are not returned in a hygienic condition will not be processed for refunds so please ensure to clean all used goods before returning them.
You can also bring items back to the shop in person
As an alternative to mail, any item purchased from our website may be returned in person to the store on Lavitts Quay if the customer so wishes.
Some items may have to be tested before we can do a refund
When dealing with items that are faulty it is our policy to expedite the process to the best of our ability. However, there are some technical products, ie waterproof jackets or footwear, that cannot be evaluated by our staff and must be returned to the manufacturers for testing. When this occurs our staff will do their utmost to ensure the customer receives a satisfactory result as quickly as possible.
We can't refund anything without a receipt
To receive a refund for any reason customers must provide a valid till sales receipt. This can be identified by the Matthews logo at the top of the receipt. A credit or laser card receipt or a bank statement will not be sufficient to grant a refund. We do not offer refunds on Gift Vouchers under any circumstances.
